Helping Horses, Helping People
About Tara
I started working horses in my mid teens and there have been many horses and people in my life that have been a part of molding and shaping the horsewoman I am today.

When I began riding, I spent hours upon hours in the saddle and traveled many miles of trails and countryside.  In order to learn more about horses and how people interacted with them, I worked in different barns.  The time spent riding, grooming, feeding, cleaning stalls, and watching carefully the human/horse interaction illuminated innumerable dimensions of the bond between horse and human.  In addition, I have competed in a variety of horse sports of which has given me the opportunity to study and learn horse behavior in many different situations.

My love for animals drove me into a Veterinary Technology study program where I earned my license as a Veterinary Technician.  One of the most influential experiences, while working for an Animal Health company, was being exposed to the top horse clinicians in the country.  I had the unique opportunity to meet and observe their training techniques and methods.  This became an important element reinforcing my desire to study, learn, and teach what people today call natural horsemanship.

I've  had the privilege through all of these combined expriences to grow and develope my special way to help horses and help people.  I am grateful to God for the opportunities, gifts, and talents bestowed upon me.  I am confident that through His continuous guidance I can make a difference in building a partnership between horses and people.

A cowgirl is a spirit.  It's an inner quality that allows her to do something for no one else's reason but her own.
